Advantages: Popular for all sorts of woodwork, this wood is ideal to work with in cutting, sanding, and even steam bending, gives a natural look to floors, low level of shrinkage for accurate measurements
Disadvantages: Not as hard as some woods, though still able to handle foot traffic, scratches, and dents with the right finish and care
